After attending Ramona Elementary and Alhambra High I went to Pasadena City College for one year. Those school years gave me many wonderful memories of wonderful friends, Kathy and Rosemary, Esther, Cecilia, Brenda, Ada and Wayne, some outstanding teachers (Mrs. Pejsa, Mr. Hartnett and Mr. Weatherholt) and trips to the beach singing the Beach Boys' "California Girls" with close friends, cruising Bob's Big Boy in Pasadena and cheering at AHS football games. Great times!

I married in 1967 and a few years later had a wonderful daughter and then a son. My husband was a Farmers Insurance agent and I worked in partnership with him for many years, then I became a proposal writer for Riverside Community College, as well as being a Girl Scout leader for seven years and doing volunteer work. After several years of being single again, in 2004 I remarried a wonderful man and we retired and moved to a little farm in a valley of the coastal mountains of Northwest Oregon.

We have two horses, dogs, cats and chickens and we enjoy traveling around the country. We both enjoy reading, history, creative writing and genealogy. Two beautiful granddaughters are now the joy of my life. I have always been an artist specializing in equine and western oil paintings, and have a website called artbycherylhudson.com, as well as selling through various galleries in California and Oregon. I've been blessed with two terrific parents, a close family and wonderful friends and look forward to the next adventure down the road.
