Name: Marsha Barbour Green
AHS Name: Marsha Barbour
Email: marshagreen@earthlink.net

Family: I am married to Fred Green since 1992 and am the step-mother to 2 and the grandmother of 2.

Home: I have lived in Northern California since 1973. We moved to Angels Camp, CA, in 2007 after many years in the SF Bay Area (Berkeley & Lafayette) to be close to our daughters and grandchildren.

Education: I graduated from Cal State LA in 1971 and Pepperdine University In 1977. Career: I retired in 2010 from a long career in healthcare in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Memories of high school: I enjoyed belonging to Campus Club which helped instill the importance service which continued through my professional life. I fondly remember Sr. Chavez and 4 years of Spanish. His encouragement propelled me to travel to Spanish speaking countries and continue speaking Spanish to anyone who would listen to me.

Travel: Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Greece, Croatia, Australia. In 2001, we built a house on the East Cape of Baja and spend about 5 months/year there.

Memories of Alhambra: Growing up in Alhambra was very small town, in a good way. Spent a lot of time at Story Park, Twoheys and the soda fountain in McKays Drugs. Loved cruising Bob's Big Boy. Frankly, I couldn't wait to leave Alhambra since I felt it held nothing for me. I wanted to explore the world beyond!
